Our boys had “half day” today at school and it’s the end of the grading term for Spencer, so he enjoyed the day off {well part of it- he had meetings over at the high school where he does his observation hours in addition to teaching as part of the Administration Program he’s in}- so we decided to CARPE DIEM and hit up the arcade at Boondocks together as a family!

Despite what you might think- we don’t play video games much…  We’re too busy and besides that, we don’t encourage it.  We do own a Wii, along with a few games, but we don’t play regularly- at least, not nearly as often as some of our boys wish we did.  If and when we do play, it’s always on Monday evenings {with the exception of holidays and birthdays} and no more than half an hour…  hence the reason why we call Monday, “Mario Monday”…

Although we may not play video games often, our boys still love them, so we decided to surprise them following school and take them to the play the games of their choice. Boy did they have a blast! And WOW- $40 in tokens go FAST at an arcade when you’ve got 5 boys playing! {No worries: I’m not too disgruntled about it because we bought $40 worth of tokens for only $20 during a Christmas special}…
