A birthday celebration fit for our Miss…

Our little Miss will be 18 months tomorrow. 18 months. Here and gone!   I never did post any pictures from her 1ST birthday party- so here they are in no particular order.  {These pictures were taken from several cameras and phones, so don’t mind the difference in resolution and quality}…   Grandma and Grandpa Truesdell happened to be in town the day of the party, so they joined us, along with my sister Celeste’s family and all of Spencer’s family for a picnic at Neilsen’s Grove Park in Orem {it’s our favorite park- and outside any celebrations we...

Token madness!

Our boys had “half day” today at school and it’s the end of the grading term for Spencer, so he enjoyed the day off {well part of it- he had meetings over at the high school where he does his observation hours in addition to teaching as part of the Administration Program he’s in}- so we decided to CARPE DIEM and hit up the arcade at Boondocks together as a family!   Despite what you might think- we don’t play video games much…  We’re too busy and besides that, we don’t encourage it.  We do own a Wii, along...

Hawaiian getaway!

Spencer and I celebrated 10 years of marriage in June of last year… For Christmas {2013} he surprised me and told me we were going to go to Portugal for our Anniversary trip—- however after weeks of thinking about it and trying to plan the trip, I decided to put it off…  I’ve had my heart set on returning to Portugal {where I spent 17 months of my life as a missionary for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints} ever since the day I left {September 11, 2003}…  I’ve always felt I’d get to return- but...

I don’t care if Monday’s blue…

It must be Monday. It must also be January.   In case you care to know, I had a case of the Winter Blues today…   How do I fix a bad case of the Winter Blues???   Why I hibernate of course! I hunker down- throw on some pajama pants, {because comfort is key}- make myself some hot chocolate while the little ones are napping and my other kids are at school and catch up on the new season of Downton Abbey {funny how at first I disliked that show but now I can’t seem to get enough...
